Self Introduction
I am Belinda Schafer a state certified teacher from South Africa and have more than years of experience teaching in Taiwan at elementary schools, junior high school, English Villages, summer and winter camps. I am a native English speaker and applying for a permanent elementary or secondary teaching position starting as soon as possible.
I am an extremely passionate, energetic, friendly and creative teacher and have a vast amount of experience teaching in Taiwan. At the moment I live in South Africa Western Cape Province area and would be available for an interview. The subjects I taught were mainly English Language Arts, Social Studies, Art and Health to Grade to and always developed my own curriculum according to British and US standards.
I believe every classroom has its own unique community; my role as the teacher will be to assist each child in developing their own potential and learning styles. I will present a curriculum that will incorporate each different learning style, as well as make the content relevant to the students' lives. I will incorporate handson learning, cooperative learning, projects, themes, and individual work that engage and activate student's learning. I have proven myself to be a good and enthusiastic team player. I would be interested in positions anywhere in UAE, Indonesia, Thailand or Burma.
